Please arrive ideally with no make up on as this will take time from your service and will increase the risk of bacteria getting in the follicles. I advise against any exfoliating 48 hours before or after sugaring, since this service will exfoliate dead skin that can cause more shedding. This service is great but if you have never had it before I don't recommend getting it done for the first time right before a big event. It is best to get it done a bit beforehand to ensure you don't have any histamine reactions to facial hair removal. It is advised to not wear make up for atleast 24 hours following as you run the risk of introducing bacteria into the follicles. I will provide aftercare once you come in for your scheduled appointment with tips and tricks to get your desired outcome.
Loose fitting clothing is ideal depending on the body part you are sugaring. If you are getting your back a clean white shirt is preferred, first time LA Bikini/Brazilian it is recommended to wear cotton underwear and loose fitting pants that allow breathability. Sadly leggings, spandex and lace aren't ideal.
A. Yes, however please avoid hells fire temperatures as this will irritate the skin and do not apply anything to the area that was sugared such as body wash or soap. We are not trying to get anything into those follicles in the first 24 hours remember.
A. No. Please schedule your appointment at 24 hours prior to any activity that will get sweat or bacteria within your follicles. These activities include things such as swimming, going to the gym, sexual interaction, deodorant, tattoos ( in that area), anything that makes you sweat. Should you do these activities your chances of having a reaction like pustules is very likely and will not be very pleasant.
A. Depending on your service type it varies between 2 weeks to 6 weeks however I always encourage for everywhere aside from the thighs to come at least every 3-3.5 weeks. After this point the sheaths start to grow back thus anchoring the hairs down more and making removal more painful.
Yes. Honestly any form of hair removal will have some level of discomfort as we are removing hair, detaching the root from blood supply and large sheaths are coming through the opening of the follicle.
There is inevitably some discomfort however, it should never feel unbearable or similar to torture. Also keep in mind there are different causes of discomfort such as pregnancy, close to a cycle, thinner blood, medications, hormone imbalances, etc.
Our staff is very well versed in different techniques and proper sugaring methods to limit unnecessary discomfort.
A. Aside from drinking lots of water ( I feel like we all know that though) please ensure that you are gently exfoliating dead skin off and hydrating the live skin you have. When you come for your appointment I will walk through everything I think you should be doing customized to your skin care needs. Just remember if you're currently exfoliating with anything please don't exfoliate the day of or day after your appointment and to use soft, circular motions.
I accept cash, debit, credit, tap, smartpay and apple pay.
